loving right now.

camo. I never ever ever ever thought I would want anything camouflage. The me of two years ago is shaking her head -- but I can't apologize. I'm digging the camo look and may have to get these Target flats for a pop of the trend, but I'm also loving camo in pants. Check them out from Urban Outfitters, Gap (on sale!) and Banana Republic. I love how Andrea of For the Love of styles her camo jeans and this post is also a dressier (who knew!?) version of camo pants.

lyft. Do you know what I don't love? Driving the husband to the airport at 4 a.m. I did that yesterday and it was rough. You know what I should have done? Had him take Lyft. It's cheaper than a taxi and it means I can stay in bed. Lyft is starting in cities across the country -- and just launched in Seattle! If you're in the Northwest, you can use SOCIALSEA for $20 off your first ride! (hey husband-- next time, that's what we're doing, ok?) Also, another thing I love: the fact that Lyft drivers attach bright pink furry mustaches to the front of their vehicles.

getting home inspiration. I am pinning up a storm lately-- and it is mainly home decor. Now that the ginormous home painting project is winding down, I have my eye on some interior projects. Maybe, just maybe, one of them will get done this weekend! Stay tuned & follow me on pinterest. :)

Besides the above mentioned items, I also have to say that Seattle is killing it in the post-summer weather. 85 degrees every day? So good.

what i love: nesby the monster

He eats feathers (and nearly anything else)

He requires more exercise and interaction the most two-year-old humans

and he loves early mornings (and waking me up to enjoy the early mornings)

Despite all the ways my dog Nesby drives me crazy, (there's quite a list), I can't help but love my little guy.

He makes me laugh

 he insists on being in every outfit photo the husband takes of me

He gets me up in the morning and gets me walking (or running.)

And he seizes each day and every new activity with so much excitement

And is always excited to see everyone, meet new people and just love on them (or lick them. Things I always needs to work on (minus the licking).

Is it weird to admire my dog?

I may have mentioned this several times but I was in several weddings this summer...four to be exact.

And while it kept my weekends busy with showers and parties I have to say that I love weddings.

I've been good this year. When Nordstrom had their anniversary sale (they only have sales twice a year) I didn't go even though I KNOW all the fall goodness that was there.

And when it comes to fall clothes shopping at other stores, I've held strong.

 if I do get anything, I'm getting that belt. I have a major thing for belts. maybe I'll get those shoes too..

But despite all those gorgeous fall things, I'm waffling whether I actually want fall to show up.

I'm not ready for colder weather yet. I feel like I've just gotten warmed up.

Nesby insists on always being in the photo. He's a bit of a goober.

I'm getting better at the whole "taking photos of my outfit" thing but I'm no pro. The husband is getting better at taking them too... and of course, the dog is getting better at finding ways to get into every photo I take. He's such a ham.

It's true. I love French things.

it's all downhill from here, well, all downhill 'til the weekend that is. ;)

I'm loving things on Etsy this week (but let's be honest-- when am I not loving things on Etsy?)

what i love wednesday (not gummy bears)

Apparently you reach an age in life when gummy bears are no longer a great sweet to eat. Just ask my husband. Yesterday, the day before we left, he was eating gummy bears at work and broke a filling in his tooth. It was 5 p.m. and he had to find a dentist.

Fast forward six hours later, he's finally home (he had to go back to work after the dental work) and I'm still packing and cleaning. (My friend is house sitting the doggie monster and I don't want her to be using a nasty bathroom.) I'm also procrastinating.

But this all doesn't matter. I can sleep on the plane... heck I can sleep in Hawaii.

With that said, I'm loving all things travel-related this week and I'm wishing that I had more of an excuse to get these things... or perhaps just more money reasons to travel.

what i love wednesday [#9]

Hi friends.

Happy Wednesday! This week I'm counting down the days (two weeks today!) until I leave for Hawaii with the husband and the family.

We're going to Lahaina and I am super excited because...

1. sunshine! (I'm feeling deprived in the Vitamin D category right now)
2. chill/vaction/do nothing time
3. it'll be my first time there :)

And I've decided that my summer closet is seriously lacking. (So, husband, I need to go shopping...)

This week I'm eyeing stuff that will be perfect for the beach. (It hasn't decided to be summer yet in Seattle. Currently I'm wearing sweats. booooo.)

1. adorable sunhat from Urban Outfitters. (I kinda want a fedora too...not sure I can rock it like some other cute kids can.)
2. Target sandals. I love floral everywhere-- even between my toes ;)
3. Dontcha think this loose-fitting blouse from Ruche would be adorable tucked into a high-waisted denim skirt?
4. OK. Please convince me that a 5'4 girl can rock a maxi dress without looking lost. 'Cuz I wanna buy this printed number from ModCloth.
5. I own these shorts from Gap. They're awesome. 
6. Sweet pinstriped Vans for rocky beaches and late night summer strolls :)

Besides some serious shopping that needs to get done, I need to hear from you guys what are MUST-DOs in Hawaii. I'm an island newbie! Fill me in!

So although I'm already married, I'm stuck in wedding and bridal shower mode. (which I don't mind at all. really don't. dream job: wedding planner. anyone else with me on that?)

what i love wednesday [#7] (and how is it June?)

Right now I can not get enough of polka dots. I think they're the sweetest mix of fun and summery--especially when they're in bright colors like these:

1. This ModCloth navy blue dress looks like it would flatter anyone. I think it would flatter me, but not my wallet.

2. My iPhone case is sad and cracked and boring-- the complete opposite of this case from PencilShavingsPaper. (by the way--looking for a new etsy shop to lust after? this is a good one.)

3. Happy little button bracelet! 'Nuff said. Get on my wrist now.

4. I've been looking for a cute, retro-esque one-piece. This J Crew one for sure fits the bill. If only it was $8 instead of $88!

5. Light blue corduroy with polka dots. My new fav. combination in this little clutch.

And if you love polka dots and random facts as much as I do, then save this little tidbit for sharing later:
