That's what my mom said when I bought this skirt.
"But you don't like butterflies," she said hesitantly. What she meant is that I don't like butterfly prints. I kind of OD'ed on them in junior high-- butterfly clips, glitter, sparkly tees with dragonflies... I'm sure some of you get what I'm talking about.
However-- although this skirt is covered with butterflies-- the print is small and when I first grabbed it off the rack, I thought they were flowers. Cute little flowers. And the skirt is definitely not glittery.
Flowers or butterflies, I decided it didn't matter because for $3.99 the skirt was perfect. I honestly cannot get enough of mid-length pleated skirts-- especially when paired with heels. (perhaps I'm destined to be a librarian. A butterfly-loving librarian.)

That skirt is a lovely find! I'm still crazy about butterflies, although after using them as the theme for my wedding decor, I've definitely backed off them a little. You pull off that skirt length really well! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOk dying over that photo of you and pup sitting under the tree!!! You're so cute! :] xo JA

I OD'd on butterflies too! I had some (now) embarrassing hair clips and binders and T shirts.
ReplyDeleteBut that skirt is gorgeous! And that last picture is almost Alice-in-Wonderland-esque. So pretty!
I love that skirt!! It's amazing! It kind of reminds me of a skirt my mom made me as a kid.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Rags to Stitches.
Happy Wednesday!
I had the same OD! I blame my mom...she bought my clothes in Junior High and I think it was a spill over from her obsession. She still wears them...along with her floral denim shorts that last summer I hated! Now UO, J brand, and Free People all have em and I'm trying to figure out how to smuggle them out of her closet without getting caught.
ReplyDeletethat's the perfect skirt - i've been searching for those types!
ReplyDeletewe are od-ed-on-butterflies-in-junior-high twinsies! but you're so right...this skirt is the perfect find! love it on you!
